Emma Experiences Winter
“How long will it take? Will it be hot? Oh I
hope not!” questioned the excited Emma.
“Oh boy!” exclaimed daddy, “You are too
excited!”
Emma is traveling to England for the
first time. She is all excited to experience whether or not the snow is as cold
as the ice. After arriving in England, she realizes that it is indeed colder
than the Caribbean. After stepping off the plane, Emma quickly halled on her
thick, cozy jacket her mom had ordered on Shein for her. During the first week,
Emma took every chance to play in the white shaved-like ice called snow. By the
end of the week she began to feel snuffy.
“Achoo! Achoo! Achoo!”
“Are you okay snow bug?” asked daddy.
“I am papa,” lied snuffy Emma.
Emma lied so that she could continue
playing in the snow but daddy saw right through her lies. That very same day he
called the doctor to the house. It was then Emma realized that daddy saw right
through her.
A warm and engaging narrative that captures Emma’s excitement and her first winter experience beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI can definitely feel the excitement of Emma.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your narrative! Emma’s excitement felt very real, and I liked how you showed the difference between the Caribbean and England. The part where she tried to hide that she wasn’t feeling well made the story feel relatable and sweet. Your details, like the jacket and the snow, helped me picture everything clearly. Great job!
